Launching during a pandemic?

I never expected that I would launch a new site during a worldwide pandemic. I’d be a liar if I didn’t say that I have a certain level of trepidation about everything that is going on here in the United States of America, let alone the rest of the world. I also don’t believe myself to be at any level of “wise”…

There’s an anonymous saying (attributed to many); some call it a curse:

“May you live in interesting times…”

We are in the midst of such times, a period of great upheaval, unlike anything most of us have ever experienced before. How we interact and socialize with each other is being reconfigured almost daily. New modes of thinking and acting are seemingly usurping the old ways, out of necessity if not fear.

For most of us, a seemingly natural instinct toward altruism and compassion for our fellow humans is present and alive. It has expressed itself in many meaningful ways to many people. Where help is needed in our various communities and societies, it is present and fulfilled.

It may be a time of change, and of fear, but it is also one for hope.

All I can tell you is to stay safe, stay calm, lean on family, friends and neighbors, and offer them the same, and we’ll all be able to get through this.
