Electronics: Lectrotech TO-50 Vectorscope

I don't know much about this scope, other than to say it was in fine shape when I first saw it last week at Goodwill (3/24/2012). It was still there today (3/31), so I took some pictures of it (some people were asking me for them)...

As you can see, it doesn't look bad for a scope of its vintage (I apologize for the poor quality of the images; all I had was my cell phone):

From what I was able to find on the internet (and based on the back markings), it has a functionality of being a "vectorscope"; I assume this is some kind of "X/Y Mode", where both axes can be controlled independently (you could easily make a graphics display with it). Otherwise, it appears to only support a single channel. I am unsure whether it is transistorized or tube-based; one thread I found mentioned that it was transistorized, but the thing looks larger than I would expect for such (but then again, I know nothing about older scopes).

This scope is (as of this writing) at the Goodwill in Phoenix (Peoria), Arizona at 67th Avenue and Peoria (NW corner); right now it is marked at $79.99, but next Saturday is 50% off sale day! I'd buy it myself if I had the room (and/or need) for such a beast.
